Who we are...
and who we publish

Who we areSelf-publishing is growing more and more in popularity. In recent years, 1/3 of all books have been self-published and even traditional publishing companies are admitting that within the next ten years, most authors will be turning to self-publishing. We are here to provide this service for you. Be sure to check out the Professor’s lounge on our homepage for a glimpse into the books of the future. We are a staff of independent authors and editors who have been writing and editing on the professional level for over five years with experience in publishing, international speech writing and public speaking. We have offices in Nashville, Tennessee and Fyffe, Alabama. We’re interested in all genres, so if you’re unsure if your work is W&K material, just ask. “Don’t worry– we’ll take care of you.” What makes us differentWe teach our authors to never believe their material’s worth is based on the opinion of agents working for corporate companies who receive over 1,000 manuscripts a day. Most books you find on the shelves of stores are laughable anyway because agents work on commission and believed that their client had a market. Too many companies correlate numbers with success. We correlate relationships and finished books with success. We provide you with personal counsel and a partnership where we work to make your vision a reality. Most self-publishing companies who promise to send your books to distributors will send you a minimum of 10 copies of your book, hold the rest and require you to purchase all additional copies but at a 30% discount. Such publishing companies and distributors, if they sell any of your books, keep a large percentage of the sales, sometimes up to 90%. The result is that you are not in control of how many copies you give away or sell to others and you are not rewarded with full royalties when you sell your books at conventions and conferences. We believe you should have as many copies as you want of your own book, earn 100% of the royalties from your personal sales, and decide where your book goes. We believe in keeping it simple– after discussing the price for your book and working together to create your masterpiece, we send you as many copies of the book you want and you decide how much to charge your customers. If we charge you $3 per copy and you sell your book for $15, then you’ve made $12. And we’re proud of you. We can always print more copies when needed and you get to keep all the rights to your work. Therefore, if an agent from a mainstream publisher contacts you, you have the freedom to republish your work under their company title without violating our contract. In traditional publishing companies, if they decide to stop printing your book, you must purchase back the rights of your own work in order to sell it to another company. We think that’s ridiculous. With us, your book never goes out of print, and along with our counsel, you are always in control of your book’s design, publicity, production, you decide it’s price, where it goes, who reads it and you earn 100% royalties on all books other than the ones you want us to sell for you in our bookstore as well as our booth displayed at conferences and conventions.
